Dave has enjoyed a simply incredible career and is credited on albums by legendary artists such as Paul McCartney, Elton John, George Harrison, Jimmy Page, Everything But The Girl, Sandy Denny, Chris Rea, XTC, Jethro Tull, Joan Armatrading, Brian Eno, Nick Drake, Peter Green, John Gorka, John Martyn, The Proclaimers, Cat Stevens & Loudon Wainwright.. The list goes on & on! 

As well as all of the above, Dave was the long term drummer for the influential folk-rock group ‘Fairport Convention’. Dave left the band in March 1998 and relocated to Boston, USA, where his career continues to thrive, recording & performing with artists such as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Richard Thompson, Juliana Hatfield, John Jennings, Teddy Thompson, Chip Taylor & Carrie Rodriguez, Steeleye Span, Susan Tedeschi, Martin Sexton, Dennis Brennan & Rosanne Cash. 

Key to Dave’s success is his sensitive approach to the serving the music at all times and also his uncanny ability to get the right sound the artist desires. 

Dave is a well of knowledge on the subject of drum selection & tuning and also cymbal selection & application. Being a true authority on the subject of drums & drumming, Dave continues to also give masterclasses at important educational institutions such as London’s Royal Academy of Music and the Berklee College of Music in Boston!
